Spouses in blue, all guests in white - the unique wedding in Tuscany | Italy

Spouses in blue, all guests in white. Have you ever seen any wedding like that?

The story I am presenting here took place in picturesque and mythical countryside of Tuscany, Italy. That day was my birthday and name-day at the same time and I couldn't even imagine better gift than these two lovely people and me photographing their Big Day. Their wedding clothes were just till the last moment a big surprise. Not only for guests which were suppose to be all wearing white. The bride and the groom decided to keep the secret of how they would dress even from each other. Despite of that they were perfectly matched. And this didn't surprise anybody of their close friends and family. We all found it as a proof for how perfectly they know each other and feel the same vibes. In the end, for many years they have been working together as fashion designers and  sharing common vision they invented their own brand of designer bags. The touch of their aesthetic sense was visible in any single detail during their fantastic Italian wedding. The stunning Bride was contemporary mixture of Frida Kahlo and Cinderella in blue. The same colors were wearing the Groom and the small flower-girls ( in this case i would call them rice-girls, cause in Italy it is common to throw the rice at the newlyweds as they exit the church; I don't know if you know but this custom takes origins in ancient Rome).

I must add that it was also one of those breathtaking, squeezing tears of everybody weddings where everything is according to the couple's own deeply personal vision ( for example their marriage vows were their own text). Incredible and full of emotions ceremony happened in the small medieval borgo Pozzo della Chiana not far from Arezzo, while the crazy pool party took place in venue Villa La Lodola in Val di Chiana. This beautifully 17th century restored villa was surrounded by typical Tuscan landscape that is so well known from images and postcards of Tuscany. I have never seen a reception like that where all guests in their stylish (white) creations jump to the pool and spend the whole evening in the water instead of dancing floor.
