Trekking Adventurous Shooting of Maldivian Couple in the Dolomites | Italy

I must have written a thousand times on this blog and Instagram just how much I love trekking through the mountains. Walking across the mountainside is my great passion.
That’s why I decided to combine trekking with my photography work for adventurous elopements and sessions, to be able to take couples to my most-loved corners of the Dolomites in Italian Alps. I also organize couples’ photo expeditions in the Apuan Alps and the Gran Sasso mountains.

One of the things I’m eager to do next is venture into the more remote trekking locations in Iceland, Faroe, The Isle of Skye and the Georgian Caucasus. I dream of the Himalayas and Patagonia, and photographing an eloping couple there at great heights.

Some time ago, I got an email from a couple in the Maldives who wanted to have their post-wedding honeymoon session in the higher mountains of the Dolomites. I planned an unforgettable experience, beginning at dawn with a sunrise photo session in the national park - at an altitude of 3000 metres, surrounded by beautiful lakes and under the rising sun. I knew that we would be alone, because there are almost no traces of civilisation for at least a few hours in each direction. A perfect moment to capture such beautiful serenity.

Not only was it an amazing adventure for me, it was a fantastic experience for my couple who came from the Maldives whose maximum altitude is only 5.1 metres!
